Well my poor tomatoes ended up with blight so I've taken them all of the stems and put them on a clean tray in the greenhouse. The greenhouse has been washed with disenfectant and bleech and I've put up the wooden shelving.

I've already started of iceberg and cos lettuce and tomorrow I'm going to start of some spring onions. My plan is to get 4 grow bags and grow lettuce and onions in them. I have loads of fleece handy to cover them up if needed. The cucumber is still producing which is a surprise. I'm going to wrap the pot with bubble wrap to see if I can keep it going a bit longer. With any luck I will be picking sald at Christmas.

Wow that sounds good... sadly my hubs didn't keep up with the veg patch and me with a bad back... but I do look at the carrots still in there growing .. can't get them out as ground is so hard!

But would like to plant some more spuds for Christmas... wouldn't that be lovely!

I'm hoping to supply iceberg lettuce for the prawn cocktail and parsnips, carrots, peas an maybe some sprouts for the main. Oh and hopefully my spuds will be okay as well. Might get an invite for dinner if I bring that

I know. Its kinda cool having all this veg. I'm going to go and cut all my calabrese on Saturday. Will also need to check to see if there is any more purple sprouting brocoli as well. Need to wrap fleece round my cucumber plants as the nights are getting colder.

My freezer is stocked full with loads of lovely soup making things at the moment. Soup is so comforting.
